Techart GT Street R Cabriolet Price is €63,000 Not Including Vehicle
The Techart GT Street R Cabriolet price is €63,000 ($73,604) which obviously does not include the price of the 992 Porsche 911 Turbo S Cabriolet. However, for that price Techart will give it a full carbon fiber bodykit, suspension, wheels, and more. Techart has even tuned the GT Street R Cabriolet to produce up to 800 horsepower. Production of the GT Street R Cabriolet will be limited.
Aerodynamics
The Techart GT Street R Cabriolet features a unique lightweight aero package made of carbon fiber with air flow optimized in the wind tunnel. As a result, the aerokit generates four times more downforce on the rear axle and 45% less lift on the front axle at a speed of 86 mph in comparison to a stock Porsche 911 Turbo S Cabriolet. In addition, the active aerodynamics of the base model with variable front and rear spoiler are retained even with the Techart GT Street R Cabriolet aerodynamic package.
Carbon Fiber Aerokit
A new carbon fiber front bumper and hood show the unmistakable racing DNA of the Techart GT Street R Cabriolet. In addition, there are carbon fiber lightweight fenders and wheel arch extensions. They provide additional ventilation for the brake system. The two-piece side skirts with an insert made of carbon fiber also visually connect the front and rear fender flares.
In the rear, there is a carbon fiber wing in the iconic GT design with side air inlets. There is also a wide rear spoiler and its integrated active wing. This results in optimal downforce on the racetrack in every driving situation. Furthermore, the combination of the rear spoiler with side air inlets and the newly shaped carbon trunk lid grille supplies the powerful engine with a sufficient amount of fresh air.
Performance
There are two impressive performance upgrades for the Techart GT Street R Cabriolet. First off there is The Techart performance upgrade TA092/T1.1 with Techtronic management. It injects the 911 Turbo S with an additional 60 horsepower and increases the total output specs to 710 horsepower. In addition, it generates an additional 73 lb-ft of torque for specs of 663 lb-ft of torque. The installation of this powerkit is also done by an authorized Techart dealer, without interfering with the standard engine management software.
For an additional price, the Techart power upgrade TA092/T2.1 for the 992 Porsche 911 Turbo S is the most powerful to date. It features new and improved turbochargers, and refined software for the engine management system and the transmission control unit. As a result, it produces specs of 800 horsepower and 700 lb-ft of torque. Top speed increase to 258 mph as well.
Exhaust
The Techart GT Street R Cabriolet comes with a a two-pipe, hand-welded sports exhaust system. Thanks to the valve control, it covers a wide range of acoustics between the open and closed valve setting. The stainless steel sports exhaust system is also an integral part of the GT Street R package.
Suspension
Techart offers two upgrade options with lowering and coil springs. The GT Street R Cabriolet is lowered by specs of 25 mm with the sport springs. This results in a lower center of gravity and sportier driving experience. For an extra price, the new coil springs offer more adjustability. For instance, lowering is adjustable in the range from 15 mm to 25 mm. Furthermore, an additional fully adjustable performance suspension is currently being developed with the upcoming Clubsport Package.
Wheels
The Techart GT Street R Cabriolet sits on new Techart Formula VI forged wheels with carbon fiber aero discs. The aero discs lower air resistance and are mounted to the Formula VI Race forged wheels with black, hot-burnished stainless steel screws. In addition, dimensions have grown with the wide body offering better handling and track that is 30 mm wider on the front axle. This allows space for 20 and 21-inch wheel specs with a central lock as well as with and without aero discs.
The new Techart Formula VI forged wheels have tires specs of 265/35 ZR20 in the front and 325/30 ZR21 in the rear. However, Techart recommends the Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires for maximum performance on track days and the Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires for the street. Lastly, they offer customers numerous personalization options with one or two-tone paint finishes and, on request, a gloss-turned surface.
Interior
At the customer’s wish, Techart can upgrade the GT Street R Cabriolet interior to any extent. This includes high-quality materials and a large selection of traditional fabrics and patterns. The interior features a numbered badge, color coordinated piping, and decorative stitching in the cockpit. There is fine GT Street R embroidery in the headrest as well.
A true specialty of the Techart master upholsterers is the handcrafted sports steering wheel. For instance, it is made of a leather- Alcantara® mix and the hand rests are perforated in the checkered flag design. There is also a 5 mm straight ahead marker in a contrasting color. Lastly, the color of the decorative stitching, screws, driving mode switch, and all the covers and plastic parts of the steering wheel can be individually chosen.
