Genesis X Concept Debuts as High-Performance Electric GT Coupe
The Genesis X Concept debuts today in Los Angeles as a new model that presents sustainable luxury in the form of a high-performance electric GT coupe. The name “Genesis X” combines Genesis and the letter X, which they say symbolizes “hidden hero”. In addition, the “Two Lines” design theme is applied throughout the exterior and interior.
Design
The front of the Genesis X Concept features a low and broad silhouette with a shield shaped Crest Grille. Most notable are the tow-lined Quad Lamps that symbolizes Genesis’ unparalleled technology and design. In addition, there is a three-dimensional G-Matrix pattern on the metal structure of the Crest Grille. Furthermore, it has a simple yet sophisticated design by integrating the hood and fenders to create a single Clamshell hood. The concept also follows the traditional GT model design with a long hood and short rear. The two-lined design continues in the rear with the taillights. The Concept also sits on two-layered, turbine-type allow wheels with five spokes. Lastly, the Genesis X Concept’s color is Lençóis Blue and its inspiration is the lagoons of Maranhenses National Park in Brazil.
Interior
The interior of the Genesis X Concept features a driver-oriented design with a cockpit that surrounds the driver with all operating systems and displays. In addition, the differentiation of space is achieved by coloring the driver’s seat scotch brown and the passenger seats an ocean wave green blue. There are four bucket seats in total with four-point seat belts. It also has a dashboard that creates the senes that it is enveloping passengers and is connected to a floating console. Furthermore, the application of the Two Lines design continues with the slim and direct air vents. Lastly, the interior design showcases the type of sustainable luxury that Genesis is pursuing.

Genesis also partnered with award-winning director, Jason Bergh, to create a “Genesis X California” film for the Genesis X Concept.
