Exterior
The Ferrari Daytona SP3 spec’d in white features a double-crested front wings that are a nod to past Ferrari sports prototypes. Another key element is the butterfly doors. They have an air box integrated into them to channel air to the side-mounted radiators. The wing mirrors have also been moved ahead of the doors to the top of the wings, recalling again the sports prototypes of the 1960s.
In addition, the rear repeats the twin-crest theme and has an aerodynamic vent that boosts its three-dimensional volume. A series of horizontal blades complete the rear as well. The taillight assemblies are made up of a horizontal luminous bar beneath the spoiler and are integrated into the first line of blades. Lastly, twin tailpipes are positioned centrally in the upper part of the diffuser.
Interior
The white Daytona SP3’s cockpit takes its inspiration from historic Ferraris such as the 330 P3/4. For instance, the dash is minimalist and functional yet also entirely contemporary in feel. The seats are integrated into the chassis and have an ergonomic wraparound design typical of high-performance cars. The door panel design helps to visually widen the cockpit as well. Carbon fiber and leather are found throughout the cabin. Lastly, it has a similar gearshift gate as the SF90 Stradale.
Performance Specs
The Ferrari Daytona SP3 spec’d in white is powered by a naturally aspirated V12 engine producing specs of 828 horsepower and 514 lb-ft of torque. It is actually the most powerful internal combustion engine ever built by Ferrari and revs to 9,500 rpm. The engine is mated to a 7-speed transmission. Furthermore, this all allows the Daytona SP3 to produce 0-60 mph specs of 2.8 seconds and a 0-124 mph time of 7.4 seconds.
Aerodynamics
The objective with the white Daytona SP3 was to introduce aerodynamic solutions that would make this the Ferrari with the highest level of passive aero efficiency ever. For instance, the engine cover features a central backbone structure to channel fresh air into the engine intake. Below the headlights are also two aero flicks which increase downforce.
Furthermore, developments on the underbody were designed to boost the entire floor performance. However, the most important development area for downforce was the rear spoiler. It extends to occupy the entire width of the car. The lip was also lengthened towards the rear which helped increase the downforce without penalizing drag.
