2023 Mazda CX-50 Price, Specs, and Release Date
The 2023 Mazda CX-50 arrives as an all-new rugged and capable crossover SUV built for the active lifestyles of North Americans. The CX-50 is available in 10 packages with two engine options: the 2.5 S and the 2.5 Turbo. Its price starts at $26,800 for the CX-50 2.5 S and $36,400 for the CX-50 2.5 Turbo. It also has a release date of this spring. Let’s break down all the different specs and packages.
Specs
Engine
The CX-50 2.5 S is powered by a Skyactiv-G 2.5L naturally aspirated four-cylinder engine producing specs of 187 horsepower and 186 lb-ft of torque. However, the CX-50 2.5 Turbo is a turbocharged version of the same engine producing specs of 227 horsepower and 310 lb-ft of torque. Both engines are also mated with a six-speed automatic transmission.
In addition, the CX-50 price includes i-Activ All-Wheel Drive (AWD) technology and new Mazda Intelligent Drive Select, or Mi-Drive with Sport, Off-Road and Towing modes on select packages. It can tow up to 3,500 lbs on select packages as well.
Safety Features
All 2023 Mazda CX-50 packages and include Advanced Smart City Brake Support with pedestrian detection, Blind Spot Monitoring, Driver Attention Alert, Lane Departure Warning System, Lane Keep Assist, and Rear Cross Traffic Alert.
CX-50 2.5 S Package
Exterior
The CX-50 2.5 S is the entry-level model. Its exterior features include 17-inch Gray Metallic alloy wheels, LED headlights, rear roof spoiler, body-colored power side-view mirrors with LED turn signal indicators, and dual exhaust outlets.
Interior
The interior packs an 8.8-inch full-color center console display, eight-speaker audio system, wireless Apple CarPlayTM and Android AutoTM integration, Mazda ConnectTM Infotainment system, two USB ports, remote keyless entry with push-button start, a 7-inch TFT LCD instrument panel display, among many other standard features.
CX-50 2.5 S Select Package
The 2023 Mazda CX-50 2.5 S Select package build on the features of the entry-level model. However, its price adds dual-zone automatic climate control and rear passenger vents, leather-wrapped shifter and steering wheel, LED interior lighting, 40/60 split folding rear seat, 10.25-inch color center display with HD RadioTM and two additional USB inputs in rear console.
It also comes standard with black metallic 17-inch alloy wheels and tinted privacy glass.
CX-50 2.5 S Preferred Package
The CX-50 2.5 S Preferred offers heated side-view mirrors and windshield wipers, front and rear center armrest with storage, power rear lift-gate with programmable height adjustment, eight-way power adjustable driver’s seat with power lumbar support and heated front seats.
CX-50 2.5 S Preferred Plus Package
The CX-50 2.5 S Preferred Plus upgrades the Preferred package with a first-ever power-sliding panoramic moonroof with one-touch open and close feature.
CX-50 2.5 S Premium Package
The CX-50 2.5 S Premium upgrades the interior with a Bose® 12-speaker premium audio system with Centerpoint® and AudioPilot®, SiriusXM satellite radio with three-month trial subscription2, roof-mounted shark fin antenna, auto-dimming rearview mirror with Homelink®, six-way power adjustable front passenger seat, leather seating surfaces.
CX-50 2.5 S Premium Plus Package
The 2023 Mazda CX-50 2.5 S Premium Plus build upon the Premium with 20-inch aluminum-alloy wheels with machine-cut black metallic accent and automatic power folding side-view mirrors. In addition, the interior features ventilated front seats and full color Active Driving Display projected on the windshield.
CX-50 2.5 Turbo Package
Along with a more powerful engine, the CX-50 2.5 Turbo interior includes steering wheel-mounted paddle shifters and an exclusive terracotta interior color with orange stitching. Its price also includes exterior features such as unique Turbo badging, larger exhaust pipes, LED taillights, and Adaptive LED front lighting system with LED auto-leveling headlights.
CX-50 2.5 Turbo Premium Package
Similar to the 2.5 S Premium, the CX-50 2.5 Turbo Premium interior features the Bose® 12-speaker premium audio system with Centerpoint® and AudioPilot®, SiriusXM satellite radio with three-month trial subscription2, active driving display, heated steering wheel, and ventilated front seats.
CX-50 2.5 Turbo Premium Plus Package
The 2023 CX-50 2.5 Turbo Premium Plus is the top of range model. It includes all the standard features listed above and adds a frameless, auto-dimming rearview mirror with Homelink®, heated rear seats, wireless phone charger in center console, Mazda Navigation System and Active Driving Display with traffic sign recognition projected on the windshield.
CX-50 2.5 Turbo Meridian Edition
The CX-50 2.5 Turbo Meridian Edition is more focused on outdoor adventures and has a release date of later this year. It features exclusive 18-inch alloy wheels with all-terrain tires, side rocker garnish and headlight garnish, distinctive hood graphics, and a host of outdoor-specific accessories.
