2023 BMW 8 Series Facelift Price Includes M Sport Package
The 2023 BMW 8 Series facelift has been revealed featuring slight updates which now features the exterior M Sport Package now included in its price. The exterior and interior of the new 8 Series remains pretty much the same aside from some small styling updates. Some new features include the “Iconic Glow” kidney grilled as standard, a new 12.3-inch display and more. The 8 x Jeff Koons limited edition model has been announced as well. The price of the new BMW 8 Series facelift has not been announced. However it has a release date of later this year.
Variants/ Engine Specs
The new 2023 BMW 8 Series is available in Coupe, Convertible, and Gran Coupe model trims. They feature a choice of three engine options, rear-wheel drive and all-wheel drive. At the top of the model range is the BMW M850i powered by a 4.4-liter V8 producing specs of 530 horsepower and wheel-drive. Next up is the 840i xDrive powered by a 3.0-liter in-line 6-cylinder producing specs of 333 horsepower. Lastly, there is the diesel 840d powered by a 3.0-liter in-line 6-cylinder engine. It produces specs of 340 horsepower.
The 8 X Jeff Koons
The 8 X Jeff Koons is based off the 2023 BMW M850i and designed by US artist Jeff Koons. It features a multi-layer finish in eleven colors that creates a highly expressive appearance. Meanwhile the interior’s impressive ambience is characterised by the very finest leather and other exquisite materials, along with the rich red and blue tones of BMW M and an engraved artist’s signature. The 8 X Jeff Koons will be presented for the first time on 17 February 2022.
M Sport Package as Standard
All 2023 BMW 8 Series model variants are now equipped with an M sports package as standard. As a result, they have aerodynamically optimized body features finished in body color in the area of the front and rear apron as well as on the side skirts. The now even sportier appearance is rounded off with 19-inch M light alloy wheels in double-spoke design and fitted with mixed tires. The standard equipment now includes an M sports brake system with calipers finished in blue as well.
Illuminated Grille/ New Colors
The BMW kidney grille on the new 8 Series facelift now comes as standard with the BMW “Iconic Glow”. It is a waterfall lighting element for the two kidney grilles that creates a particularly extravagant expression when the new BMW 8 Series is viewed from the front. The illumination is activated as soon as the vehicle is opened and can be switched on or off manually by the driver.
Furthermore, there is a choice of four new exterior body finishes for the luxury sports cars. This includes the colors Skyscraper Grey metallic, San Remo Green metallic, M Portimao Blue metallic and BMW Individual Frozen Tanzanite Blue metallic. Lastly, new versions of the M light alloy wheels in 20-inch specs are available for an added price.
Interior
The M sports package – which is standard in all models of the new BMW 8 Series faclift – also gives the interior an aura that is geared towards focused driving pleasure. This includes the M leather steering wheel, M roof liner, the M pedals in stainless steel, and the M driver’s footrest and specific floor mats. Multifunction seats are combined with BMW Individual Merino leather upholstery with extended features as well.
In addition, the interior Control Display screen diagonal has now increased in size from 10.25 to 12.3 inches. The BMW Live Cockpit Professional includes the online-based navigation system BMW Maps, the BMW Intelligent Personal Assistant, the BMW Head-Up Display, wireless smartphone integration via wireless LAN and a multimedia system.
Price and Release Date
As we mentioned above the 2023 BMW 8 Series facelift price has not been announced as of yet. However, it has a release date of later this year. Expect its price to remain similar to the current $85K starting price.
