Leaked Images
Leaked Images of the 2022 Toyota Tundra starting circulating this morning that appear to show a TRD variant of the new model. In addition, the images seem to be virtual mock ups that were taken off a computer screen. They show the new Tundra in red and black with blacked out body parts and wheels. It also has an aggressive and sporty body styling with well defined fender lines. In the rear, we see a large TRD Pro badging as well.
Engine
Nothing has been confirmed, but the new 2022 Toyota Tundra could share engines with the new 2022 Land Cruiser. A newly developed V6 twin-turbo engine (3.5-liter gasoline and 3.3-liter diesel) powers the 2022 Toyota Land Cruiser. It achieves class-leading driving performance and drivability that surpasses those of a conventional V8 engine. Furthermore, the engine combines with the newly developed Direct Shift-10AT (10-speed automatic transmission). However, the Tundra could use a different transmission. Here are the Land Cruiser engine specs:
- Gasoline: 3.5-liter twin-turbo V6 producing 415 horsepower and 479 lb-ft of torque.
- Diesel: 3.3-liter twin-turbo V6 producing 309 horsepower and 516 lb-ft of torque.
