2022 Mercedes-Benz C-Class All-Terrain Price Not Announced Yet, Not Available in USA
The 2022 Mercedes-Benz C-Class All-Terrain price has not been announced yet but it has been confirmed that it will not go on sale in the USA. It has a release date of later this year when it will begin going on sale in Europe. The C-Class All-Terrain makes light work of light terrain. It has an increased ground clearance of around 40 millimeters and standard all-wheel drive with two off-road driving modes. However, it has the same load capacity as the standard C-Class Estate being able to hold 490 to 1,510 liters. Expect its price to be revealed closer to its release date.
Exterior
The 2022 Mercedes-Benz C-Class has design features that emphasize its off-road appearance. The distinctive front bumper is partly made of dark grey and grained plastic. Underneath there is a simulated underride guard in high-gloss chrome. In addition, it has wheel arch liners in matte dark grey on the front wing and on the rear side wall. At the rear, the newly designed multi-section bumper and the model-specific chrome-plated load sill guard underline the special nature of this vehicle. Lastly, exclusive wheel designs in 17 to 19 inch specs are available for the All-Terrain.
Avantgarde Exterior
All 2022 Mercedes-Benz C-Class All-Terrain models are based on the Avantgarde exterior. The waistline trim, side window surrounds and roof railings are finished in polished aluminum. The trim on the B-pillars and the bars on the rear side windows are in high-gloss black. However, if equipped with the Night Package further features and trim elements at the front and rear are in high-gloss black.
Avantgarde Interior
The Avantgard interior is also included in the price of the 2022 Mercedes-Benz C-Class All-Terrain. With black, macchiato beige / black and sienna brown / black, there are three color concepts to choose from. The instrument panel features a silver chrome clasp and matte diamond silkscreen trim element. In addition, the instrument panel is slightly inclined towards the driver by six degrees. Customers have a choice between a version with 10.25-inch display specs and 12.3-inch display specs. The display holds specific information such as the incline, decline and steering angle, geocoordinates, and a compass.
Ground Clearance
The 2022 Mercedes-Benz C-Class All-Terrain has around 40 millimeters more ground clearance than the conventional C-Class Estate. The wheels are larger in diameter as well. In addition, the four-link front suspension has slightly larger steering knuckles. A multi-link suspension mounted on a rear axle carrier is installed at the rear.
Furthermore, for balanced ride comfort and high driving stability, the comfort suspension with a passive damping system is included in its price. Ride comfort is improved by reducing the damping effect, and when the road surfaces are more severe, the full damping action ensures more stability.
Off-Road Modes
In addition to Eco, Comfort, Sport and Individual, the 2022 Mercedes-Benz C-Class All-Terrain has two further Dynamic Select modes for off-road driving. OFFROAD mode is designed for easy terrain such as dirt roads, gravel or sand. In addition, OFFROAD+ with DSR (Downhill Speed Regulation) is recommended for somewhat heavier and steeper terrain. The driver can switch between the driving modes by touch input in the switch panel below the central display.
Digital Light with Off-Road Light
The 2022 Mercedes-Benz C-Class has LED High Performance headlamps included in its price. The Digital Light system familiar from the new S-Class can be chosen for an extra price. For the All-Terrain it includes a special off-road light. As soon as the off-road driving mode is activated, the off-road light switches on. When driving on light terrain, wide illumination ensures that the driver can see obstacles sooner, even when cornering.
Trailer Operation
With all-wheel drive as standard and a towing capacity of up to 1800 kilograms, the 2022 Mercedes-Benz All-Terrain comes equipped for trailer operation. A partially electric trailer hitch with swivelling ball-head and ESP® trailer stabilization is available for an extra price. A button in the luggage compartment unlocks the trailer hitch. Then it can be folded out. The control light goes out when it is correctly engaged.
In addition, a trailer maneuvering assistant is available in conjunction with this optional extra, and with the Parking Package with 360° camera. It makes manoeuvring with the trailer easy, even for the inexperienced.
4Matic All-Wheel Drive / Engines
More traction and driving stability, even on difficult surfaces, is provided by the 4MATIC all-wheel drive. It is included in the price of the 2022 Mercedes-Benz C-Class All-Terrain. Up to 45 percent of the engine power flows to the front axle, with up to 55 percent to the rear axle.
Furthermore, the All-Terrain is available with either a gas or diesel engine. They are both four-cylinder engines with an integrated second-generation starter-generator and 48-volt electrical system. The both can also recuperate energy and glide with the engine switched off.
Price and Release Date
As we mentioned above, the 2022 Mercedes-Benz C-Class All-Terrain price has not been announced yet. However, it has a release date of later this year when it will begin to go on sale in Europe. Unfortunately, it will not be available in the USA. It will make its public debut at the International Motor Show in Munich next month.
