2022 BMW M240i Spec’d in Brooklyn Grey and Lowered
The new 2022 BMW M240i spec’d in Brooklyn Grey and lowered has already appeared in the streets of Switzerland. The new 2 Series M240i coupe is just hitting dealerships and it appears buyers are wasting no time modifying it. Performance
The 2022 BMW 2 Series M240i in Brooklyn Grey Metallic and lowered is powered by a six-cylinder in-line engine producing 374 horsepower and 369 lb-ft. of torque. In comparison, it produces 34 horsepower more than the outgoing model. The M240i comes with intelligent all-wheel drive as well. In addition, there is the base 230i powered by a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder producing 255 horsepower and 295 lb-ft. of torque.
Furthermore, all the engines team up with an eight-speed Steptronic transmission as standard. However, an optional eight-speed Steptronic Sport transmission comes standard in the BMW M240i. It has gearshift paddles on the steering wheel plus Launch Control for powering off the line with optimal traction. Lastly, it also has a Sprint function for instant, dynamic bursts of speed when already on the move.
Suspension/ Wheels
The 2022 BMW 2 Series M240i spec’d in Brooklyn Grey Metallic comes standard with a two-joint spring strut front axle, five‑link rear axle, lift-related dampers, and Electric Power Steering with Servotronic function. M Sport suspension including variable sport steering is available as an option as well. However, the new BMW M240i comes standard with a model-specific version of the M Sport suspension. It also comes with additional front axle struts, M Sport brakes and an M Sport differential at the rear axle. Adaptive M suspension with electronically controlled dampers are also available as an option for the M240i.
In addition, 17-inch light-alloy wheels come standard and 18-inch M light-alloy wheels are included with the M Sport package. Again, the BMW M240i comes with unique 19-inch M light-alloy wheels with the option of high-performance tires.
Design
The 2022 BMW 2 Series M240i spec’d in Brooklyn Grey Metallic and lowered has an eye-catching front-end design featuring individual headlights and a new-look BMW kidney grille. The grille also has vertically arranged active air flaps instead of bars. In addition, pronounced wheel arch flaring gives the rear a powerful look. In the rear there are also compact light units with rearranged LED light functions. M Sport models and the M240i come with distinctive design accents as well. Furthermore, an almost perfectly balanced 50:50 weight distribution and a low center of gravity create the ideal basis for extremely sporty handling.
