2022 Audi RS e-tron GT Debuts with 590 horsepower, $139,900 Price
The 2022 Audi RS e-tron GT finally makes its official debut as the high performance version of the fully electric four-door coupe. The model is closely related to the electric Porsche Taycan. Let’s go over its price, specs, release date, and everything you need to know.
Performance Specs
The 2022 Audi RS e-tron GT sends power to all four wheel via two electric motors with one powering each axle. Total output is 590 horsepower and 612 lb-ft of torque. However, when using launch control output increase to 637 horsepower. As a result, it can achieve a 0-62 mph time of 3.3 seconds and a top speed of 155 mph.
Battery
The 2022 Audi RS e-tron GT comes with a 93 kWh lithium-ion battery with a voltage level of 800 volts. In addition, it comes with an AC charging output of 11 kW as standard. However, AC charging up to 11 kW comes standard with 22 kW available for an extra price. DC charging with an output of up to 270 kW comes standard as well. Furthermore, it have a range of up to 302 miles with one charge. It can charge up to 62.1 miles of range in just 5 minutes. Lastly, the e-tron Charging Service is available with around 200,000 charging points in Europe.
Exterior
Sportiness, comfort, and sustainability were key elements in designing the 2022 Audi RS e-tron GT. For example, it has sporty proportions such as large wheels, a wide track, flat silhouette, and long wheelbase. In addition, it has a low inverted Singlefram grille in the vehicle color and a flat green house with a sloping roof line. Matrix LED headlights come standard. It also has a low drag coefficient of just 0.24. Lastly it comes with active aerodynamics with switchable air inlets for brakes and radiators, as well as a real spoiler that extends in multiple stages.
Suspension
The 2022 Audi RS e-tron GT has a low center of gravity and excellent axle load distribution thanks to the position of the batter and electric motors.
